Chris Tsujiuchi

A Very Chris-terical Christmas Cabaret - COVID edition

Tsuj wasn't going to let a global pandemic stop him from trotting out the ugly sweaters, defiling beloved carols and keeping the yuletide gay in this, his first digital cabaret.

Very Christerical X-mas Cabaret

For the last 9 years, performer, music director, and “cabaret sensation” Chris Tsujiuchi has been trotting out the ugly sweaters, defiling beloved carols and putting on a hell of a show, as his band of merry musicians (and a gospel choir!) help him raise the spirit of the season at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. But in light of the 10th anniversary of the cabaret, Tsujiuchi is moving his Christmas extravaganza to the Jane Mallett Theatre, putting him in a position to be seen and heard by a much larger and broader audience!

After 5 years of sold out houses at Buddies, and in light of more Asian voices and LGBTQ+ voices entering the mainstream media on shows like queer eye, and in movies like Crazy Rich Asians, it feels like the next logical step. So Tsujiuchi has raised just over $18,000 on Indiegogo to cover the rental of the Jane Mallett Theatre, as well as the recording, mixing and mastering of “A Very Chris-terical Christmas Album” to be released this coming November!

You can expect some amazing music, story telling, comedy, improv, special guests, choreography... and this year, you have a much better chance at actually getting a ticket!! what more could you ask for?!
